DETECTOR EMULATOR MODULE

Information in these documents apply to DEM II and DEM III modules with firmware Rev 5.3 (board label FW 5.3). DEM II modules require hardware modifications indicated in the section below titled "DEM II Board Modifications Needed as of 03/16/00." DEM II boards with these modifications should be labeled HW 2.1. DEM III modules require hardware modifications indicated in the section below titled "DEM III Board Modifications Needed as of 11/28/00." DEM III boards with these modifications should be labeled HW 1.1.

Note that DEM III modules with the label HW 1.0 will operate channels 0-9 properly, but will not support DOIM operation. Only DEM III modules with the label HW 1.1 and DEM II modules with the label HW 2.1 will support DOIM operation.

DEM II modules are silk-screened on the top side with the label DEM Module.

DEM III modules are silk-screened on the top side with the label DEM Module Rev 3 Jan 12, 2000.
