ABSTRACT

The DART Cable Diagnostics Module (DCDM) is designed to help debug and diagnose problems on the DART data and trigger cables. By sampling the voltages on the lines and comparing them to a set of expected values, the DCDM is able to detect improper biasing, open lines, or shorted lines. The results of these tests are displayed on the onboard LCD screen. Additionally, through the use of headers on the DCDM board, direct access to the DART cables is possible for further diagnosis with a logic analyzer or oscilloscope.
